人々の夢を宇宙で実現させる民間宇宙サービスプラットフォームを提供する宇宙ベンチャー企業、株式会社ASTRAX（アストラックス、以下 ASTRAX、本社：神奈川県鎌倉市、代表：代表取締役・民間宇宙飛行士 山崎大地）が日本の事務局を担っており、弊社代表の山崎大地が日本のナショナルコーディネーターを務める国連世界宇宙週間において、日本では１４の宇宙関連イベントが開催されました。

【これまでの経緯】ASTRAXは、2013年から国連世界宇宙週間の期間に宇宙に関わる講演会やシンポジウム、ミュージカルやパーティなどを開催し、国連世界宇宙週間を盛り上げてきました。
2017年からは有志で国連世界宇宙週間JAPAN実行委員会を立ち上げ、更に国連世界宇宙週間JAPANエヴァンジェリストを広く募集し、国連世界宇宙週間を日本で広めるために貢献しています。
2018年より、ASTRAX代表の山崎が、米国に本部がある国連世界宇宙週間事務局の日本のナショナルコーディネーター（代表）を務めています。また、同年には世界宇宙週間の期間中に130以上のイベントが開催されました。
今年2021年からはASTRAXが日本における国連世界宇宙週間実行委員会を運営しています。新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響でリアルに人々が集まるイベントをするのが難しくなり、世界宇宙週間期間中のイベントもオンラインイベントが多くなりました。それでも対象期間（2021年10月1日～15日）中に開催されたイベントとして14のイベントが開催されました。
ハミングフォーピースは、昨年に続き開催され、日本だけでなく世界各国からも380人の参加者が集まり、宇宙や世界の平和を祈って全員でハミングを歌いました。言葉の壁を越えて、世界と同じ曲を「ハミング」することで、世界がつながります。オンラインでの平和活動として世界中から多国籍の人たちが集まり、世界で同時に歌いました。
ハミングフォーピースは、毎年10月10日に開催される国連の「世界宇宙週間」のイベントを、世界的なお祭り、いつかの「世界記念日」になるまで続けていきたいと考えています。
ハミングフォーピースの発案者・主催者の女性は、この宇宙週間を最大限に活用し、ハミングで世界をつなげています。

月面にキッズタウンを作る想定で参加者がそれぞれ絵を描きました。
親向けのスペースペップトークイベントも行われました。
Youtubeライブ配信イベントもありました。
CC&GGというYoutuberが宇宙コーヒーを紹介しました。
Facebookのライブ配信を使い、広島の原爆ドーム前から平和の祈りを込めたダンスを披露するイベントもありました。
その他、声のSNS、Clubhouseを使ってwswや宇宙について話すイベントも複数行われました。
リアルのイベントとして、昨年に引き続き障害者も健常者もダンスで繋がるバリアフリーのイベントも行われました。
また、瞑想やマルシェ、アロマなどを通じて精神宇宙と繋がるイベントも行われました。
宇宙船のシミュレーターを作ったり、シミュレーターの中で民間宇宙飛行士がトレーニングをやる、と言ったユニークなイベントもありました。

What has been happening so far?
ASTRAX has been organizing space-related lectures, symposia, musicals, and parties during the World Space Week since 2013.
We established the World Space Week Japan Executive Committee to further promote the World Space Week in Japan in 2017. Since then, we have been recruiting World Space Week Japan Evangelists to help spread about the World Space Week in Japan.
In 2018, more than 130 events were held during World Space Week.
From this year, ASTRAX is managing the World Space Week Executive Committee in Japan.
Due to the impact of COVID-19, it has become more and more difficult to organize events that bring people together in real life, and many of the events during World Space Week are now online. Nevertheless, there were 14 events held during the period covered （1-15 October 2021）.

The World Space Week was established by a United Nations resolution in 1999 to promote international cooperation in the exploration and peaceful use of outer space by raising awareness of space and celebrating the contribution of space science and technology to human development worldwide.
The World Space Week Association （"WSWA"）, the headquarters of the World Space Week, is headed by a board of directors that includes Hollywood actor Tom Hanks, and Buzz Aldrin who landed on the Moon during Apollo 11.
And every year during the World Space Week, from 4 to 10 October （1 to 15 October to be precise）, there are many space-related events around the world.
In 2019, there were over 8,000 events, and in 2020, the year of COVID-19, there were over 6,500 events worldwide.
This year, 2021, the theme is 'Women in Space' and there have already been more than 4,500 entries during the period. （The exact number of events will be announced once the count will be complete）.
